With the weekend off from freestyle I headed to the Sacramento, CA area for a weekend of cross training on the Flat Tracker. We loaded up the van and headed out Friday morning to make it to Lodi, CA. Lodi was holding a money race the night before the event drawing most of the national riders to the event. It was the first time I had ridden a blue groove track and it was quite the learning curve! I made it to the night show and kept picking up speed as the night progressed. Saturday morning we rolled into Sacramento for the return of the Sacramento Mile at the California State Fair. This was to be my first mile and I was really excited to get out on the track and test out my new bike built by Southland Racing. The bike was a screamer! I made it to the night show for the second night in a row and was able to put down some fast lap times! It was a sold out crowd with over 7,000 people in attendance. They were really excited to bring AMA GNC Flat Track back to Sacramento!
